I went back to college when I
was 30 and was in the best shape of my life. I was swimming a couple of miles a
day and back in the gym boxing and trained by a World Champion. One day I asked
my coach how good was I as a heavyweight. I had always regretted not turning
pro. He answered, “Better than average.” How good is that I asked? Top ten in
the State? He said, “Top 100 in the country.” I was very satisfied.
He was training a guy for a
big fight that was ranked in the top 20 in the world. I begged my coach to spar
with him. He said, “Steve, he would kill your ass!” Weeks later the college
boys started working out for Golden Gloves and a college tournament that was
coming up. They begged my coach to spar with me. He said, “Guys, he would kill
your ass!” I was very satisfied.
Ten years later I learned
that I wasn’t schizophrenic, but I was a medium. At first I learned as much as
I could just to turn off the voices. But later, I learned what an incredible
healing tool this gift could be. I vowed to the best medium who ever lived. Are
their World Champion mediums? After seven years training with the best in the
world, I learned that the only thing to conquer in this world is the fear of
death. Do the best that you can and be satisfied.
Soon I was doing galleries
and I was in the middle of the greatest reading any medium has ever given and I
thought as much while giving the reading. The little old lady in spirit, who I
was receiving the message from, stopped and said to me, “Son, you’re good, but
you’re not that good.” It grounded me. When someone asks me today how good I
am, I always respond, “Better than average.” It’s your loved ones who have the
skill to make your reading great or not. I’m just a radio. I’d much rather hear
someone refer to me as a legitimate medium or the real deal. Being legit in
this business will be quite enough for my ego in this lifetime. I am very
satisfied.
