One of my guilty pleasure movies
is called “The Matrix,” about a young man who wants to learn the truth about
the universe. One of my favorite scenes is when his mentor offers to show him
“the truth,” but once enlightened, there is no going back. After I had my
accident that left me with the ability to see and talk to dead people, I still
wasn’t ready for the truth. It took another seven or eight years for everything
to fall in place. To me talking to dead people was a cheap parlor trick that
had no value to me or anybody else for that matter. I was missing the big
picture. You know the saying, “You can lead a horse to water…” well I wasn’t
drinking the kool-aid.
It wasn’t until years later that
I tried to shed this special skill that “they,” my guides and angels showed me
why everything happened the way it did. You see I signed up for it. Before I
came down here and was born, it was part of the plan. A plan that I had felt I
was dragged to kicking and screaming the whole way. I was shown the people in
deep dark depressions that were contemplating suicide and stuck in their lives
on earth. They were frozen with sadness and regret. They couldn’t budge until
someone could prove to them that their loved ones were alive and well on the
other side. They needed concrete proof their loved ones were still alive so they
could get out of the ditch and back on their path to experience all of the
great things to come. So I now had a purpose.
What is your purpose? Why are you
here? What did you sign up for? You came down here to live, love and learn.
There will be many more highs than lows in your life, but you asked to
experience them both. How many lives will it take to learn unconditional love?
It’s not about how much money you can make, it’s about how many lives you can
change for the better. It’s all about the relationships you make in this
lifetime. It’s about all of the people you meet on the merry-go-round, both the
good and the bad. You continue to learn with every lesson in this life, both
good and bad. To evolve your soul you will serve and teach what you know. It
will give your life meaning. Don’t look back. Look for the best in everybody
and every situation. The real lessons in this life are drawn from the
relationships you have in this life and how you live and love. You fall down,
get back up and keep learning, living and loving. It’s all about how you handle
your personal relationships and those experiences that you will look back upon
once you are in heaven.
